Call for Silent Auction Donations
One of the most interesting features of our Main Event concert is the annual silent auction in the VIP area. Over the past three years, Band Together has raised more than $75,000 through the auction to support our nonprofit partnerships. Now we need your help!We depend on donations of unique and fun items to achieve our fundraising goals in the Silent Auction. Vacation rentals, artwork, sports memorabilia, spa packages, and dining gift certificates are just a few of the hundreds of items we typically receive as in-kind donations. The more unique, the better. And, for businesses, this is a great way to promote your brand. Some items on our “wish list” include:
- Hot Air Balloon Rides
- Entry to a Marathon, running shoes, or a Fleet Feet training program
- Golf Package at local course
- Zip Line Adventure in the Western NC + vacation rental
- Drive a Corvette ( Super Car) for a Day
- Wine and Design private party
- Backstage passes to a show or event
- Locker room visit - Hurricanes, Panthers, UNC, Duke, NC State, Durham Bulls
- Airline Tickets
- Hotel stays
- Cruise tickets
Got something you’d like to donate or connections to help us find items? Please email silentauction@bandtogethernc.org to let us know.back to top
Celebrity Bartending
Thanks to all who came out to support Band Together at Faire on Wednesday, April 1. We were fortunate to have 10 celebrities who helped us raise money for our partnership with StepUp Ministry and have a lot of fun along the way - and we raised $522.40! The event couldn’t have been possible without the generosity of Faire and our long-time friends and supporters at Eschelon Experiences – and the celebrities who stepped away from their famousness and served up the drinks.Thank you Eschelon Experiences, Faire and our celebrities: Raleigh City Council Members Bonner Gaylord and Mary-Ann Baldwin; BJ Barham and Bill Corbin of American Aquarium; Penn Holderness and Melanie Sanders of Greenroom Communications, LLC; Sam Madison and Jeff Holshouser of Hank Sinatra; and, G Patel from Eschelon and Van Eure with the Angus Barn. The event kicked off Eschelon Experience's Month of Giving. Eschelon dedicates four months each year towards raising awareness for their core nonprofit partners - and in 2014, they raised more than $8,000 for their nonprofit partners. This month, head to any of their restaurants to support Band Together by adding $1 (or more) to your bill. 100% of your donation will go to Band Together.back to top
