Flash Car
This Sunday we're doing something a little different with our "After Work" Social ...we're going rock climbing! And we're lucky to have local band Flash Car providing live music for the event. We checked in with Flash Car to learn a little more about the band and hear their thoughts on Band Together.
We’re really excited to be working with Band Together! It’s our first time partnering with them, and we’re thrilled to be able to contribute in some small way to the work they’re doing.
Our music resists easy categorization, but we lean towards a psychedelic pop/rock sound with an oddball, just-off-center, and out-of-time pop sensibility. While we definitely have aspirations of touring, we’re still feeling things out as we get ready to record a full-length album later this year. We’ve been supporting the recordings we have online (and now available as a cassingle!), which hint at the variety of styles we synthesize in our live act.
Most of us grew up around here and we play out as often as we can. Chapel Hill is our home base at this point, so we’ve played local venues like Nightlight and the Cave a lot. We’re reaching outside of our hometown, too--we just played a great show in Raleigh at Kings along with Eston & the Outs, and Estrangers. Basically, we want to keep building momentum from the support we’ve gotten so far. Most of our fans are people we know from town, grew up with, etc. So when you see us perform, you’ll become one too. Come take a ride in our Flash Car!
