About the Bands:Jack the Radio is the brainchild of songwriters, George Hage and A.C. Hill. Rounded out by Brent Francese on drums and Danny Johnson on just about anything, They recorded their debut album, “Pretty Money” in 2011, and released their second album “Lowcountry” in 2012, to an increasing fan base. Their most recent project is a full-length entitled “Devil in Here”, and a companion DVD, “Jack the Radio: Live at Amplified Art”.The Morning After is an eclectic Motown sound, fueled by bluegrass, soul and a touch of latin and jazz. Lead vocalist Rachel Koontz has a soulful style reminiscent of the best of Motown, while Pattie “Pip” Hopkins lends additional vocals, and impressive fiddling. Bassist Lindsey Tims and drummer Mike Rosado provide a driving rhythm intertwined with banjo and mandolin players Hank Smith and Shawn Chase rich melodies. A unique blend of instruments and styles, The Morning After’s high energy performance is sure to entertain. At first glance, Big Daddy Love may seem like a typical Southern rock line-up - Stratocaster riffs and Allman-esque slide guitar, meshed with electric and acoustic 5-string Scruggs/Fleck style banjo - but this Western NC quintet is receiving glowing praise from the Americana and roots rock community. With two previous releases - Let it Grow (2011) and To the Mountain (2010) - Big Daddy Love has become one of the most important new bands to watch on the Americana scene.Onward Soldiers is an indie rock band from Wilmington, NC. The quartet features vocalist and pianist Sean Thomas Gerard, lead guitarist Lincoln Morris, drummer Jarrett Dorman, and bassist Tripp Cox. Touring regularly and releasing two full length albums - 2010’s “Ghosts in This Town” and 2012’s “Monsters” - the band has generated interest and national exposure. Known for their high energy live performances, Onward, Soldiers delivers a raw yet melodic rock sound blended with haunting prose.
