This event raked in 547 in attendance and we netted nearly $12,500 off of ticket sales, raffles and sponsorship. Thanks for all of your support! Didn’t get a chance to join the fun? Moose Tracks
We are quickly approaching the time when we book and announce our lineup for our spring concert, an exciting and fast-moving process. There is an ongoing debate within the Band Together family: “What is more important, the music or the cause?” We go around in circles on this all the time because depending on where you sit, one is inevitably more important. If you are helping to book bands for the Main Event, one camp would argue that we need to get the best band – one that is going to sell the most tickets for the cause. The other side believes we should just get a band that is true to the Band Together roots.I fall in the middle, as I do with most issues. I am a consensus-builder by nature, and finding middle ground and compromise is paramount. I take the stance that they are equally important. Band Together just would not exist if it were not for the music AND the cause. I think it is a fantastic organization, and I think this will always be one of our biggest debates. No matter where you stand, I hope you will join our music-loving, cause-driven family! And, I look forward to seeing you at the next after work social, the Blue Note Grill in Durham on February 13. Take care.back to top
