Time to Celebrate Volunteers!
Honoring all volunteers! This week, April 21-27, marks National Volunteer Week. For seven straight days, volunteerism takes center stage across the country, training a spotlight on the efforts and outcomes made possible by those who give back to their community.National Volunteer Week is a great occasion for us to recognize volunteers in our own corner of North Carolina. So this week, Band Together salutes the individuals that make a difference in the Triangle. We celebrate their tireless commitment and gives thanks for their generosity of time and talent. We also invite volunteers of all stripes to help us pull off our biggest event of the year. Just one week after National Volunteer Week ends, Band Together will hold a concert event at Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre on Saturday, May 4 to raise funds and awareness for our 2013 nonprofit partner Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities (TLC). Thousands of concert-goers will attend. Thousands of dollars will be raised. But none of it would be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers. We still have plenty of volunteer opportunities available for May 4. We encourage you to sign up now for a one-of-a-kind music experience and fun-filled evening with the Band Together family. With your help, we’ll continue to be a force for positive change in the Triangle community. Whether you’re a veteran volunteer or a first-timer, we hope you’ll join us in making a difference!Sign up now, and share with your friends!
