Coming to a stage near you...Mac & Juice, winner of this year’s Last Band Standing, will be sharing the stage May 4 with Chatham County Line, Delta Rae and headliner Lyle Lovett. Mac Nelson and Brian “Juice” Raynor came together while studying classical guitar at East Carolina University in 2000. In 2007, the band moved to Wilmington, where they are currently based. Brian Mason (drums/percussion) and Jason Moore (bass) round out the original duo.Their classical training can be heard in the complex guitar solos on their self-released album, Step into the Light. The music moves seamlessly through a range of sounds from jazz to bluegrass, making the eleven songs on Step into the Light an excellent soundtrack to their upcoming spring and summer road trips. In the build-up to their Band Together appearance, Mac & Juice Quartet can be seen this Friday (April 5) in Greenville at Live Bar, in Winston-Salem on 4/13 at Foothills Brewing, or at Red Room in Kinston on 4/26.
