The Merrimon-Wynne House and Band Together team up to support Families Together through an enchanting evening

Raleigh, N.C. (January 9, 2020) – This year, two forward-thinking organizations have partnered together, along with some of Raleigh's top vendors in the events industry, to host a highly anticipated party benefiting an exceptional local nonprofit organization. The event will take place on March 6th at The Merrimon-Wynne House to raise over $100,000. 
 
After a rigorous application process, it is a great pleasure to announce that Families Together has been selected as the 2020 recipient, based on their tenacity and determination to alleviate homelessness and provide housing options for families in the Triangle. Monies raised at the event will go toward the Families Together Affordable Housing for Homeless Women and Children Project, providing long- and short-term housing options to over 40 families with 80 children experiencing homelessness in the Triangle.
 
Since 2017, downtown Raleigh's luxury wedding venue, The Merrimon-Wynne House, has partnered with some of Raleigh's top event professionals to give back to the community they know and love by hosting a fundraising event in which 100% of the proceeds go directly to a local nonprofit organization. In addition, Band Together has raised over $10 million for local nonprofit organizations since its inception in 2001. Moving forward, Merrimon-Wynne and Band Together will continue to partner to create the maximum impact from this annual event. 
 
The special event on March 6th, 2020 will take place at The Merrimon-Wynne House in downtown Raleigh. Designed by McLean Events and catered by Rocky Top Catering, the evening will encapsulate a journey from the 1920’s prohibition era to modern-day 2020. “From hidden spaces to enchanting glamour, secret entrances, unassuming chic spaces, and surprises at every turn will guide guests through the night as they eat, drink, dance and raise money for this very deserving nonprofit organization,” remarked Erin McLean, Owner & Creative Director at McLean Events.

This special event is in addition to Band Together’s annual million-dollar partnership and Main Event concert later this year.
