Volunteer Profile - Christina Coffey
Christina Coffey is a long time Band Together volunteer (five years!), a 20-year Triangle resident and Vice President of Retail Services at CBRE | Raleigh, a global commercial real estate services and investment firm. As a key part of our steering committee, she’s served about every role imaginable with Band Together, and we recently asked her to tell us a little more about her experiences. How did you hear about BT?
I’m a Chatham County Line fan and they played in 2009 so that was my first Band Together concert. Later that year, I met Danny Rosin (Co-founder, past Board President) at an Old Habits concert and the rest is history!
What jobs have you had as a volunteer?
Ticket Seller, Thank You Note Writer, VIP Co-Chair, Popcorn Popper, Cotton Candy Spinner, DJ, After Work Social Planner, Charity Selection Committee Member, Late Night Clean-Up Crew, Hopescotch T-shirt Salesgirl, and all-around Band Together Cheerleader!
How would you describe your current role?
I’m currently on the VIP Committee helping with Décor and Giveaways….the FUN STUFF!
What are you most excited about this ’14-’15 season?
THE VENUE! Downtown Raleigh and Band Together are two of my favorite things. I’m thrilled that they are reuniting!
What’s a funny Band Together moment for you?
I’m known for making mix CDs and calling them Caribou Mixes after my cat, Caribou Coffey. One time in a VIP meeting, Matt started off the meeting with an ice breaker where everyone said what they were currently listening to in their car. We all chuckled when a majority of the room reported they were listening to a Caribou Mix!
