Band Together NC Welcomes New Board and Advisory Board Members

Raleigh, N.C. (Oct. 1, 2013)Band Together NC, a Triangle-based organization that uses live music as a platform for social change, has announced the addition of seven new directors to its board and two new advisory board members.The newly-inducted directors and members:Board of Directors:

  • Sarah Crawford, Director of Development and PR, Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities
  • Brendan Morrissey, CEO, Netsertive
  • Stephen Porterfield, President, Capital Associates
  • Bob Ramseur, Partner, Ragsdale Liggett
  • Bert Smith, CFO North America, The Body Shop
  • Brent Sprinkle, CEO, True North Business Navigation
  • Karen Zelden, Director, Major Gifts and Planned Giving, WakeMed Foundation

Advisory Board:

  • George Reddin, Managing Director, FMI
  • Jim Triandiflou, CEO, Relias Learning

“We are honored to add these talented and hardworking individuals to our team,” said Matt Strickland, executive director of Band Together. “Their combined passion and dedication to contributing to our community will serve Band Together very well as we continue to raise the bar.”The new members of the board of directors will join an existing board of eight business and community leaders. During their three year-term, board members’ responsibilities involve voting on important issues, committee involvement, recruiting and fundraising.New advisory board members will join 32 business and community leaders. During their three year-term, advisory board members’ responsibilities include: annual- and long-term fundraising and giving feedback and advice to the Band Together Board of Directors.The 2013 Band Together event helped raise more than $860,000 for Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities and since its inception in 2001, Band Together has donated almost $3 million to local nonprofits.
