Sponsor Highlight: Citrix
For over a year, Citrix has provided Band Together with cloud services. In 2013, they chose to join so many other wonderful individuals and organizations as a sponsor for our Main Event. Marketing Events Assistant, Janna Hamm, tells Band Together that the decision to sponsor was two-fold: “we have many employees who volunteer with Band Together, and the non-profit partners selected for 2013 and 2014 (Tammy Lynn Center and Communities In Schools) directly support two of Citrix’s areas of focus for corporate citizenship: families in need and K-12 education”.This focus on corporate citizenship is a large part of Citrix’s vision, “to help people work better and live better, strengthening the tie between work and well-being, and supporting families in need.” And the company’s actions speak as loud as these words. Citrix employees are encouraged to participate in what the company calls their Global Day of Impact, “a paid volunteering day in which groups of employees serve local charity organizations in need.”As a part of this program, local charities, including Tammy Lynn Center, Rebuilding Together, Special Olympics of NC, and Carolina Tiger Rescue, have benefited from active, caring employees giving of their time, their hearts, and their hard work. In addition to its sponsorship of Band Together, Citrix has also sponsored local community events such as St. Baldrick’s and Stop Hunger Now.Citrix and Band Together each work in their respective capacities to serve the needs of the communities they support. We are proud, now, to combine those efforts to support Communities in Schools. Welcome to Citrix, another great sponsor helping to affect social change in the Triangle.
