January 16th Day of Service with Urban Ministries

We're kicking off the new year with our first Band Together Roadie event of 2012 with a day of service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 16th.  While it may be a day off of work, we are calling it a "Day On" because it is an easy and fun way to serve your community. The volunteers will be stocking the Pantry at Urban Ministries of Wake County from 9am -12pm.  Please bring (at least) 3 CANS of Food to help get us started!Volunteers will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the facility and observe first hand the truly inspiring work the employees and volunteers at Urban Ministries are doing to help Wake County's underserved residents.  If you haven't had the chance to do so already, check out their website at  www.urbanmin.org.Hurry!  There are only 20 spots available so sign up today by emailing Laura Ridgeway, Band Together Volunteer Co-Chair, at lridgeway@urbanmin.orgABOUT BAND TOGETHER ROADIESDo you ever get a BT After Work Social Hangover?  Hangover symptoms happen after a night of hanging out with a fabulous crew of people, celebrating the great work that Urban Ministries is doing to help Wake County's underserved residents and getting incredibly inspired about the BIG BT event in late spring.  Social hangovers can hit sometime after lunch the next day when you realize you will have to wait another month to see these folks again.
