Long-Time Sponsor Boosts 2017 YMCA of the Triangle Partnership
Raleigh, N.C. (Apr. 24, 2017) – Band Together NC, a Triangle-based organization that uses live music as a platform for social change, has announced a major sponsorship from Cargill, in the amount of $150,000, for this year’s partnership with the YMCA of the Triangle. With the support of Cargill, the partnership will exceed its goal of $1 million to elevate Southeast Raleigh through a YMCA facility and additional community services.
“Cargill has been a generous supporter of Band Together and our annual partnerships for many years,” said Matt Strickland, Band Together executive director. “But this year’s sponsorship marks Band Together’s largest single sponsorship to date – and it demonstrates Cargill’s commitment to the Triangle community.”
This year, through community support and corporate and individual donations, Band Together and the YMCA of the Triangle aim to raise more than $1 million to develop a beacon campus that will include a YMCA wellness center, gym and an outdoor aquatics center. The facility will serve as a community hub to facilitate partnerships that will provide a variety of services, including wellness, nutrition, education, healthcare, affordable housing and more for families in Southeast Raleigh.
