I haven't understood a bar of music in my life, but I've felt it.

Band Together donates $11,702 and packs over 10,000 meals for Haitian Relief Efforts

We are fortunate enough, with your pledges, to be able to donate $11,702 to Stop Hunger Now who has shipped more than 250,000 meals, bottled water and medical supplies to Haiti. We also worked with several area businesses to help package over 10,000 of those meals. Thank you again for helping us respond to this disaster as well as stay close to our heritage of being born a call-to-action group.

Event Testimonial

"The dedicated team of volunteers that comprise Band Together is exceptional in every way. They devoted themselves to understanding the mission of the Lucy Daniels Center and making it their own as they shared our story and sought support from the community. BT is a testament to the power a group of volunteers can have to inspire others to give and get involved, even during difficult economic times. In addition to presenting incredible concerts, BT builds community between sponsors, volunteers, and music lovers. They inspired our board, advisory board, staff, and parents to rally together around a common goal. The funds, community awareness for children’s mental health, and positive energy generated from this event have given the Center a new base of support that we can build on for years to come! We thank everyone involved with Band Together and look forward to paying it forward by volunteering in future years."

Thunderstorms won’t get in the way of great music and Triangle area altruism! Band Together will donate $358,000 to StepUP Ministry this year from its concert event! The funds raised will help StepUP hire additional staff and extend their services to even more low income and homeless people in need of learning life skills and job skills so that they may become productive, tax paying citizens.

With the 2010 tally, Band Together reaches over $1,000,000 in total donations to local charities!! It is simply amazing what a group of music loving volunteers who care about the community can do.

On May 22, The Old Ceremony, Anoop Desai, One EskimO, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Holy Ghost Tent Revival played in front of a loyal crowd of 2500. Rain, did not dampen the spirits of music enthusiasts and community volunteers, who understood that this show was about much more than just the music. The headliner, Michael Franti, was extremely complimentary of Band Together and StepUP and took time to visit with volunteers from each program before the show.

Band Together event co-chair, Trey Caudle, said, “In spite of two rain showers, we hosted our most successful event to date. We had an amazing team of volunteers, we raised a staggering amount of money from sponsors, ticket sales, silent auction, guitar raffles, and a live painting. Raleigh will be feeling the positive effects from this event for years to come.”

Please stay tuned for more information about 2011 charity selection and what’s in store for our next music line up.
